A Fire Breaks Out In A New Jersey Paper Manufacturing Plant

On Wednesday, a huge fire broke out in New Jersey. A paper manufacturing plant caught fire in Bergen County. The fire would not have been a big problem if it wasn't for the wind and cold temperatures outside. Although firefighters had gotten to the fire pretty early, they couldn’t extinguish it due to their water line freezing. The smoke from the blaze was so heavy that they had to close down the ramp onto I-80 to Exit 61 in both directions. The firefighters were forced to let the fire burn itself out because the blaze couldn’t be contained by firefighters.

There was another fire that couldn’t be put out on Thursday morning due to the weather. This fire happened at a parking garage in Newark Liberty International Airport in Newark, New Jersey. A total of 17 cars were burned in the fire.
