In 2012, there was a school shooting in Sandy Hook Elementary that killed 20 children aged between 6 and 7. Since the tragic shooting, Alex Jones, the host of Infowars, had repeatedly called the shooting staged. Jones has claimed that the children in the shooting faked their death and that the shooting was staged in order to push a political agenda.

These accusations have had consequences to the families of the victims. Many of the families have been harassed and given death threats. Some of the families have even moved to a new location because of the amount of harassment they are getting.

In response to this, several families of the victims filed a lawsuit against Alex Jones in April. The lawsuit ended on Friday after the judge ruled that Infowars must hand internal documents over to the families of the victims.

The past 6 months have not been good for Jones and Infowars. In August, Infowars was permanently banned from Facebook and Youtube. A few weeks later, twitter followed suit and also permanently banned Infowars
