Pelosi's Approval Rates Are Falling

Updated: Jan 30, 2019

A new poll by NBC News/WSJ found out that Nancy Pelosi’s approval ratings are falling. In the poll, which surveyed 900 adults, 47% of the people who were surveyed said that they had an unfavorable view of Nancy Pelosi. Out of the people who viewed her unfavorably, about 72% said they had a “very negative” feeling towards her. Meanwhile, only 28% gave the Speaker of the House a thumbs up.

In a previous poll last month, only 41% of the people surveyed said that they had an unfavorable view towards Pelosi. This means that Pelosi’s unapproval rating rose by 6 percent.

Pelosi’s actions during the government shutdown was a possible factor in her approval rates falling.

Trump’s approval rates have largely remained unchanged. Around 43% approve of the President’s job. This is the same percentage as when the poll was taken last month.
