The Grammy Awards have been captivating audiences around the world since 1959. The program awards audio performers for their talent, skill, and performance. The 2019 Grammy awards was packed with many talented performers, one of these was Post Malone. But in the most noticeable part of his performance, there was something missing. What was missing was rapper 21 Savage.

In Post Malone’s song, Rockstar, 21 Savage sings nearly 25% of the song. Post Malone was set to perform his song alongside 21 Savage, but, 21 Savage was not there. The reason 21 Savage did not appear is because on February 3rd, ICE took the rapper into custody after he was found to be living in the United States illegally. Post Malone was left performing his song alone. The result of this was unsurprisingly awkward. The song was ended early and the transitioning was not very smooth. It cut off right before 21 Savage’s verse. This made the entire performance seem very awkward and rushed.
