Popular rapper Lil Uzi Vert releases a song called "Free Uzi" without permission from his record, amid drama about his unreleased album "Eternal Atake", which has had songs continuously leaked for the past few months. The song currently is sitting at 4 million views on YouTube.
His record has taken the song down on Soundcloud, Spotify, and Tidal. TMZ reported that he now wants to renegotiate his contract, because he felt he was artistically used and exploited. Meanwhile, his album "Eternal Atake" has had mutable songs leaked by a Discord server, and a subreddit which currently has around 1,000 members. The discord server called "Groupbuys" croudfunded 1,250 to buy sections of unreleased songs. He claims the label won't let him release it, although it's been finished since December 2018. But Don Cannon, his producer claimed that he can release it "any time he wants." That time is still unknown, since a release date has not been set.
