Donald Trump is planning to sign the new border security deal to avoid having to go through another government shutdown. On Tuesday, Trump stated that he was unhappy with the deal that Congress has come up with, due to the fact that several of his expectations were not met in it.
This new deal will provide $1.375 billion to construct a new wall for the border, which is less than the original $5.7 billion that Trump had asked for. This bill, although it falls short of Trump’s expectations, is going to be signed because he wants to avoid another shutdown. Records show that Trump was mostly blamed for the previous shutdown. Some say that Trump is planning to use his executive power in order to get funding for his wall but it is currently unclear what the president plans to do.
